Completed in 2023, this three-year project was initiated during COVID, and we're excited to see the new plantings mature over the next few years.
The owners purchased this home and began major refurbishments. The exterior had been neglected for many years and all the existing walls, steps and plant beds were constructed by the previous home owner and not safe or attractive. Demolition was extensive to include the rear deck and replaced with an IPE timber deck with a separate screened in porch. The front and rear garden included many mature trees. Our new design must work around the trees and level changes all to create a safe and attractive garden.
The front garden has two vehicular entrances, a visitor circular vehicle entrance and a private entrance to the garage. Visitors never approached the front door, entering the house via the garage or back door. We focused on our design to make the entrance easier, safe and inviting. We've also added beautiful woodland plants and trees, installed LED lighting throughout, and repurposed restored antique gas coach lights onto the entrance pillars.
The existing gas lanterns were restored by ‘Brennan Stained Glass’ and added to our entrance pillar as well as to the entrance walls, antique glass and retrofitted led bulbs complete the look.
