We designed an outdoor space for a young family after their home was updated from ’70s to modern. We installed rectangular porcelain pavers in front and back, heated entry paths and steps, a rear patio with a cedar horizontal pergola, a matching fence for grape vines and a small seating area, a wildflower meadow, and an enclosed vegetable, herb, and fruit garden.
We added a new front entrance with a wider accessible pathway that is fully heated, and a new heated paved stoop for the lovely front door and plantings along the house.
The new horizontal cedar fence runs along the front of the house while providing a screened and protected vegetables, fruit and herb garden in raised galvanised planters.
A newly planted wildflower meadow and apple trees at the rear of the garden.
We matched the design of the pergola for the grape trellis. A small seating area provides an evening sunset. along the sides of the property, the homeowners also have planted blackberries and raspberries bushes.
This enclosed vegetable garden is protected from deer by the 6ft high horizontal cedar fence. We used galvanised toughs for ease and low maintenance and our homeowners utilize this area all summer long.
Newly laid paved terraced and dining area under the pergola. Porcelain pavers were selected for a modern, clean appearance.
This lovely updated stoop designed by the architect just needs completing by adding matching pavers over the poured concrete. We heated this area for the long winter months as well as the pathway from the driveway.
